Q: What is PMIS?
A: The Product Material Information System contains product related information for restricted substances.
Q: What is REACH?
A: REACH is the Regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (EC) No. 1907/2006. It entered into force on 1st June 2007.
Q: What is an SVHC?
A: Substances of Very High Concern (chemical substance) which are potentially:
- Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction
- Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative
- Dangerous to human health or the environment
Q: A serial number and/or lot number has been entered but no document displays in the search results?
A: If an invalid number is entered, a message will appear indicating the number is not found in the system.
Check entry to ensure number is correct and re-enter number.
If a valid number has been entered, a message indicating that the product does not contain SVHCs will be displayed.
